The one thing holding me back was that I didn’t initially realize tasks could be made repeatable, once the developer pointed that out to me after an inquiry I was sold. In fact, I’d go so far as to say it’s similar to Things only with great scheduling tools, rich text notes, and work flow shortcuts. In actuality it’s quite an elegant and beautiful app along the lines of Things. I was envisioning a clunky app that had a “scheduling” wheelhouse, sort of a one trick pony. I soon discovered that you don’t HAVE to schedule tasks and not doing so doesn’t leave a hole in the way the app flow works.
Scheduling tasks seemed so antithetical to the trending advice of gurus in recent years. I first heard about this on the Productivity Show (podcast) but I was skeptical. If the developers continue to listen to user feedback and improve the app accordingly, Sorted 3 can definitely become as popular as Things 3, if not more. It also didn’t help that unless I tap into the “Lists” tab, I won’t be able to see them easily, so I tend to forget about them.īut overall, this is the best productivity app I have ever used. Second, I wish the lists aren’t hidden in the “Lists” tab, because now, it requires an extra tap just to see all my projects. First, I wish there was a master list of all the tasks (not including the completed ones), like the “Upcoming” tab in Things 3. I do have a few pain points coming from Things 3 and basing on my personal needs/preferences.
It forces me to stay focused so I can finish each task within the duration I assigned it. Having a schedule has boosted my productivity IMMENSELY since I try my best to stick to the schedule. With the auto-schedule feature, I can precisely schedule out my day, and I can see how many tasks I can finish. That’s because tasks didn’t have any time constraints, which led to me taking forever to finish one, and also because I always planned too many for a day, since I couldn’t gauge how time was needed to finish all the tasks. In the past, when I was using Things 3, I could never finish many of the tasks I listed for a day. Second of all, which is also what sets this app apart from all other to-do apps, its auto-schedule feature is a *game changer* for productivity. So that amazing modernistic UI is just fantastic. That’s very important to me because as my main productivity app I look at it very often––it’s often the first thing I look at in the morning.
I just love all the features and how easy it is to plan my day or my. It makes looking at the app a pleasant experience. Ive tried Things, 2Do, Wunderlist, and none of them have been as intuitive as Sorted.

This UI design is just so easy on the eyes and so minimalistic. Wunderlist: Wunderlist is a cross-platform to-do list and project organizer, with apps for Windows and OS X, Android and iOS, Windows Phone, the web, and more. But then I encountered Sorted 3, which was a whole another level better than Things 3 and every other to-do app.įirst of all, the Things 3-esque UI immediately hooked me. I settled on Things 3 before I found out about Sorted 3, because Thing 3 was just the best of all in almost every aspect. I have tried a lot of to-do apps––by a lot I mean like almost all the popular ones available.
